Explore the process of spinning to produce your own unique yarn. Learn the process of carding, drafting and spinning. Suitable for beginners or those wishing to improve their techniques. Places limited to 2

Spindle Spinning

Time: 10 – 1pm Fee: £

This is the oldest and simplest method  of making a yarn/thread. The class will cover carding, spinning and plying on the spindle.  All materials supplied.

Wool spinning with a spindle


Simply Weaving.

Wednesday 19th September;   1.30 – 4pm   £20.00

Use simple and unusual frame as the loom to weave on which becomes part of the finished piece. Learn how to warp these looms and use a variety of yarns to produce a piece to take away. Places limited to 4

Tapestry Weaving class

Date:            Time  1.45pm – 4.45pm   Cost:  £

Learn to warp the loom up then weave a sample panel. You will work through stepped and soft angles, shaping techniques and how to transfer your picture onto the warp. All materials supplied and tea and cake.

Suitable for beginners and improvers. (Improvers my wish to take only one class) Two places left

Learn about the different types of weaving and fabrics they produce. There will be an opportunity to have a go at them all. Inkle, tapestry ridged heddle and 4 shaft weaving. All materials supplied.
